You've heard it before, the money is in the list. So, how do you create a super-charged list with tons of confirmed subscribers?
It's not as hard as you might think, and it doesn't have to cost you anything more than a subscription at GetResponse or aWeber. Both of these are autoresponder services, two of the most popular ones online in fact. They will ensure that your subscribers are confirmed, opt-ins so that you never get blamed or accused of spamming.
Now, once you've set up your autoresponder you need to generate leads. Here are three easy ways to do that:
1) Forum Marketing
Simply include a link to a landing page (squeeze page) in your forum signature. Then, post useful information and participate in the community. You'd be surprised just how many sign ups and visitors you'll receive from one simple signature file.
2) Article Marketing
Just like this article, you can include an author resource box at the bottom of your text. That way, people who have read your article and are interested in finding out more about you can easily head on over to your website for additional information. Everyone loves free information so article marketing is not only free and easy, it's exceptionally effective.
3) Adwords Marketing
The trick here is all in the keywords. Target your keywords so that they are relevant and directly tweaked for the kind of product or service you are offering.
4) Join Traffic Exchanges
Contrary to what some people may think, traffic exchanges are good for one thing (and possibly one thing only), generating huge lists of opt-in subscribers. The trick here is to create a special landing page specifically for the traffic exchange industry, because since they are surfing on a timer they will only drop by your site for a few minutes - make it count! By designing a custom landing page that is created to capture their attention quickly with bold headlines and really exciting information, you'll encourage them to click on your link and explore your site.
Another trick for traffic exchanges is to add a single line of text on your squeeze page:
"If you are surfing, please click here to open the page in a new window"
This alone will boost the amount of opt-in's you get, since people who are typically surfing in traffic exchanges do not want to click on links and lose their place in the rotation. By removing this problem and indicating that by clicking on your link they will still be able to continue surfing while taking a look at your site, you will increase the amount of people who will actually click-through by 500% or more.
