10 TIPS TO ACQUIRE REPEAT WEB TRAFFIC

1. Update the pages on your website often. Stagnant sites are dropped by some search engines. You can even put a date counter on the footer of the page to express when it was last updated.

2. Offer added value on your website. For affiliates and partners you can place links to their web site and products and ask them to do the same for you. You can also promote their books or videos, if these products relate to your industry and are not in competitor with your own product.

3. You can allow buyers to 'opt in' to get rebates and special offers. Place a link on your web site to invite customers to 'opt in' to acquire a monthly e-zine or valuable coupons.

4. Add a link to your main page with a script 'Book Mark or Add this site to your Favorites'.

5. Add a link 'Recommend this site to a Friend' so that the visitor can e-mail your website link, with a prewritten title, "Thought you might be interested in this", just by clicking on it.

6. Brand your internet site so that visitors always recognize they are on your site. Use uniform colors, logos and slogans and always provide a 'Contact Us' link on each page.

7. Create a 'Our Policies' page that distinctly defines your philosophy and rules in addressing your customers. Also post your privacy policy as well so that visitors know they are protected when they visit your site.

8. Produce a FAQ page which covers most of the doubts and clarifications about your product or your company. This helps to resolve most of the clients doubts in their first visit to your web site.

9. Ensure that each page on your site has suitable titles and keywords so that your client can find their way back to your site if they misplace the book mark.

10. Never spam a guest, who has opted for e-zines, with uninvited emails. Later if they choose to 'opt out' of the mailings, be sure you honor their request and take them off the email list. They may still come back if they like your products. But they will certainly not come back if you continue to bombard their email box with emails they no longer wish to experience
