The number of websites in the World Wide Web is increasing day by day. Websites are considered to be the best and easy way to reach a vast amount of people. Here are some quick and easy steps that help you make website launching easy.

Make use of the mail list which you currently hold to announce about the launch of your web site. You can attract current customers, if any, by giving them a discount coupon or so.Remember to inform your current customers well in advance about your website launch. This can be of great help to you.Build ample number of links to your website. You can do this by writing articles. Post articles and back link the same to your website. This helps you to attract more traffic to your new website. You can also make use of the articles as landing pages. Landing pages are nothing but target pages that are exclusively targeted at search engine marketing campaigns.Outdoor advertising at your physical locale is another way to promote you site. Try putting up posters about the launch. Flyers and pamphlets can also be sent to the target market customers about the site launch. Notify about the launch of your new website in e-mails that you send. Now-a-days radio has gained a new attraction. This also can be made use to advertise about the website launch. HOW TO PROMOTE AND RUN THEM EFFECTIVELY

Starting up a new top site can be a hard task, in the beginning the list is empty, and getting people to sign up for something that weak is not easy at all, so the first step is to get one member, and that tends to be people that only join without contributing to the system. Aka Spam Listings. So why bother, just sign up on your own account add a banner from a random site and edit the freaking my-sql database to let the topsite seam active, it saves you a lot of time and its practically the same as a spam listing except here it works for you and not the spammers. After you have put one name on the list its time to go out there and get some people to join. This is accomplished by one thing, and one thing only. Emails!

And lots of them. Not spamming or anything, its allowed to ask relevant sites if they want to join, and people that need to get some more traffic will actually appreciate you asking them. When doing this you need to do it effectively, and the best way for that is to find a place where you can target the category for your site in an easy and straight forward manner, and where you can get access to their emails in a heartbeat, do you know where i am going?

Yea other top sites of course in the same category as yours, just go to any top50 or top100 listings, start from the button, enter the site press ctrl + f type contact and then press enter to find their email addresses.. go from the bottom of the list all the way up to number 1. After you do this on a couple of lists your topsite listing wont be that empty. When targeting or choosing the category of your site the likelihood that people are struggling and fighting to get more visitors need to be put into the equation, and the likelihood that they have their emails listed.

SMALL BUSINESS DOESN'T DESERVE TO SUCCEED

Ninety-eight percent of "small businesses" are like this: Everyday, a fisherman and his son went out to sea in their tiny boat. Everyday, the old man would cast his net over the side of his boat and pull up a handful of scrawny fish. And, everyday the man said to his son, "Son, see that fleet of big fishing boats? That's where the fat fish are. Keep bailing the water so we don't sink and some day we'll have fleet that large". Do you think the man's dream would come true? Certainly not if he was casting his net while his son bailed water! That's a funny story but a similar situation happens every day in business: "Small businesses" dream of becoming large but fail to take the necessary steps to grow. Those businesses don't deserve to succeed. And statistics tell us that they likely won't live past 5 years.

Yes, they have the fundamentals in place: buy raw material, turn it into a product, sell it for a profit. When you do that, you're in business. But they lack one thing: Strong telemarketing. Small businesses, like the fisherman, can do the basics very well, but they'll never get beyond what they are. For your small business to be among the 2% that stay in business and grow, you need something else: you need to have the skills of a large business, and one of those crucial skills is the ability to cold call.

There's an old adage that mentors tell to their students who are hoping to climb the corporate ladder: "dress for the position you want, not the position you have". That means: you can look like everyone else does, or you can take action to set yourself apart.

"Small businesses" that want to grow and support that desire with training will be more likely to succeed. For the fisherman to get beyond subsistence fishing, what did he need to do? Catch more fish! He could catch more, and sell them, and earn enough money to buy a bigger boat, with which he could catch more fish! It seems obvious, but many businesses, if they were that fisherman, would look at buying a bigger bucket for their son to bail faster!

No, if you want to grow your small business you need more fish - that is, more sales. And that happens when you grow your prospect list and sell more effectively and more frequently to those prospects. And one of the best ways to do that is with "telesales". And the best way to effectively sell over the phone is with telemarketing sales.

Telemarketing sales training is one way to increase your effectiveness. Unfortunately, most businesses do it backwards, ignoring skill development for "just getting out there and doing it". What happens is a well-known story: pushy "telesales" bothering people. The business gets a bad name. The customers they generate resent them and do not respect them.

But with telemarketing sales training, "small businesses"earn to think and act like big businesses. They know the secrets of who to call, and when, and what to say when those people are on the phone. They know that cold calling is not about calling a thousand ice-cold prospects in the hopes that one will buy, it's about identifying 500 that are more likely to listen, and then calling and respecting the time and opinions of those people.

Telemarketing training leads to more sales. More sales leads to business growth.

If you're a small business and you want to grow, stop bailing and put down your bucket. If you are a "small business" and you have no desire to grow, you don't deserve to succeed.

THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE BEGINNING BLOGGING

In my last few articles I discussed how email lists can be used to complement your eBay ebook business. In my next series of articles I will be discuss how the platform of blogging can be used to help promote your eBay ebook business. In this particular article I am going to discuss what you need to consider before you start blogging.

As I have mentioned before a typical eBay ebook sale is usually a very simple process with no incentive for your customer to return. They purchase the ebook, they receive the ebook, they leave you positive feedback and then they go away to read the ebook. If you can extend this process and give your customers an incentive to return, then you have an increased chance of repeat custom and increased opportunities to build trust and build your brand.

Blogs are an excellent way to achieve this as they are easily manageable, interactive and current. If people enjoy what you are reading they will keep returning and from here you can direct them back to your eBay store. But what will you need to consider before you begin blogging?

1) BLOGGING PLATFORM: eBay have recently started their own blog service allowing you to host your blog on their website. Blogger and WordPress are two other services which allow you to create a blog. There are lots of other services availble aswell. Ultimately, the choice is down to you. You will have to check out the services and decide on the one you like best. I favour WordPress because you can keep full control of your blog and host it in your own webspace.

2) BLOGGING SUBJECT: What will you be blogging about? Apart from providing news on your eBay ebook store, your blog will also have to offer customers valu. Otherwise there is no reason for them to keep coming back. Maybe you could write some articles about eBay? Perhaps you could seek out free ebooks with resell rights and provide these to customers? Maybe you could provide discounts on your products to those who read your blog? Maybe you can post news stories to your blog that may affect your customers. There are a lot of options here. All you need to do is choose one.

3) BLOGGING FREQUENCY: Although this isn't the only success factor, the more you post the more successful your blog will be. You therefore need to consider how critical your blog is going to be to your eBay ebook business and allocate adequate time towards posting. If you are going to rely heavily on your blog as a source of traffic, then you should be posting good content to your blog at least every two days. However, if you are using your blog as a more general source of news for customers less time will be required to maintain it.

Overall, blogging is a great way to keep your customers up to date, build trust, build a brand and generate repeat custom. A successful blog can also generate you lots of traffic from outside of eBay. Consider the above advice and then start blogging.

BUILD SEARCH TRAFFIC IN 3 SIMPLE WAYS

Surprisingly, not all web owners know the evolving fact about how search engines greatly impact the traffic that is being generated by a site. Unknown to many, search engines have an indirect manipulation and control over how much traffic is being obtained by a site. Due to this, so much traffic is lost and remains unused. For this reason, webmaster and web owners alike should be properly educated about how impacting and useful search engines are and how they can potentially create traffic for their sites. I have cited below some of the search engine traffic tips and techniques that you can use:

a. You can go by writing and submitting articles to some of the popular web article directories. Of course, the catch in here is that, when you submit these articles on the article directories, you will need to include your site address either on the body of the article using anchor text or in the resource box so that potential visitors will be directed to your site. To convince readers to click on these links, you must be able to entice them through the quality of the submitted articles.

b. Develop a well-made RSS feeds. The RSS or rich site summary to many is way of letting people know instantly about any updates and present activities that your web site is having. Thru the feeds where a visitor is subscribed to, he would be informed on a regular basis on the most recent activities that your web site is undertaking. Just make sure that you create a well-drafted RSS feeds to attract more potential subscribers.

c. You can submit your web site to some of the credible website directories and allow for it to gain exposure. The use of the website directories will help you be at par if not exceedingly popular with some other sites because you are all given equal opportunities to be seen and viewed by potential visitors

SIX TIPS FOR SEO

something or another about the next great Search Engine Optimization information or company. I truly believe that over 9 out of 10 web sites offering information are nothing but copied garbage. Truth be told that your web site is useless without search engine optimized web pages. For instance, if the search engines do not like your site they will not show your site in the results sections of their query. This is known as on-page factors for your web site.

An even more important trick used for SEO is known as the off-page factors. Search Engines now are judging your web site importance by seeing how many web sites are pointing to your web site. This is known as backlinking. This is fine and dandy to find web sites to link to you, but you are missing the boat if you just have everyone link to you. Below I will pin point out 6 crucial tips of backlinking value and how to find best web sites to have linking to you.

First we will want to do a search for a site that we wish to copy that is doing well in the Search Engines. Go to Google.com and perform a search for your desired topic you wish to copy. Find the web site in the 1st or 2nd spot and copy the name into the search bar. This time use Yahoo.com and type in LINK: DOMAIN NAME. Yahoo seems to provide more backlinks that the other big two Search Engines Google and MSN who only report some of the backlinks.

Here are the 6 tips for you to use:

TIP 1: Value the Page Title of the web site linking to you.

This is most important. If the title of the web page you have your link on has one or more of the key words in your web site you are given much more weight. You will want to look closely into your progressive link partners to see the title of the page your link will be on with them.

This is done pretty easy buy looking at the results you would get from the above instructions. Those are the page titles that are displayed in blue from the results.

TIP 2: The Importance of How Many Outbound Links are On The Web Site That Is Linking to You

A web page can only have so much importance or page rank to it. The more outbound links that are on the web page the less your link to your web site will count. So if your web page is the only outgoing link on the web page, it is going to hold much more importance than a site that has many outgoing links on it. A safe suggestion would be to place your link on a web page with no more than 40 links per page. Much more than that and the link to your site will be devalued.

This type of work will require a great amount of time to do however. You will have to physically visit that web page and count the # of outgoing links on it.

TIP 3: Value The Content of The Page That Is Linking To You

Your best bet would be to try and get a link on web page that is filled with content. Opposed to a web page filled with links only. There are 2 reasons for this. The first is that there will be a minimal amount of outgoing links on the web page. The second is that the content page will be rated better as it will contain keywords in the content. You will also be found much easier as you will one of the only links on the page. A good way of checking into this would be to see what web site your visitors are coming from if you are getting quite a few visitors from that site. I am willing to bet there are not many links on the web page that has your link on it.

TIP 4: Look Into The Type of Links Linking To The Web Page Your Link Is On

Basically the more site owners of web pages linking to you that have off-page optimization the more weight that will be held on your link.

Trying to figure this out is near impossible. Your best bet would be to have a few people dedicated to this search or to build an automated process to send this information to you. Finding the off-page optimization for each site linking to you will take more time than you will have. I guarantee this.

Tip 5: How Important Does Google Value Web Site That Is Linking To You

This tip is one that most everyone does not even know about. Authority Web Sites are seen as most import by the Search Engines. Web pages that contain a GOV at the end of their domain name are considered to be an authority web site. There are a few other sites such as Microsoft.com and Adobe.com that have reached this status as well. You will find that most authority sites contain a ton of content and information. If you are able to obtain a link from this type of site, it will have a huge impact on how your web page is considered. Any site containing a page rank of 7 and up would be assumed an authority site.

TIP 6: Locate The IP Addresses Of All Web Pages Linking To You
In the Search Engine eyes, links that come to you from the same IP address are not valued with much importance. This is an important thing to know. This is in place to keep web masters from pointing every web site they own to each other. Now, it is not a bad to have a link or two with the same IP but it is more important to have most of your links coming from different IP addresses.

To locate an IP of a web page pointing to you, you may use this tool:

Webrankinfo.com/english/tools/class-c-checker.php

Here you can enter from 2 to 10 links to check their IP address. Keep in mind that this process is extremely tedious once you get into checking a few hundred or thousand web pages to check..

DEVELOPING TRAFFIC GENERATION STRATEGIES

Getting potential customers to visit your website is crucial to your online success. Let's face it, without some traffic you will fail in any online venture.

Traffic generation can be difficult, particularly for new internet marketers. Still website traffic generation is an indispensable element to any internet business plan, and requires you to approach the problem in numerous elements, tying all of the pieces together to form a traffic plan.

Initially, the most common traffic generation methods rely on advertising through free sites, or pay per click advertising. Your site could be waiting months to get listed in the major engines hoping for a trickle of traffic from them. Yet there are a few effective alternatives to these methods.

A traffic plan will help insure the stability and longevity of your business. There is no best method for approaching the traffic problem. Once that understood, the best method of traffic generation is to use every method at your disposal.

Very few websites generate traffic from search engines quickly. There are exceptions to this is, it is possible to get targeted search traffic through focused link building with high ranking, high traffic sites. The engines can give you more traffic, but your traffic generation techniques should not depend or revolve around them.

Social networking is an excellent way to generate free targeted traffic. A popular blog or forum is a good place to start, they are easy to find and in most cases free to join. The topics on these sites tends to be very specific, thus generating tightly focused traffic.

Posting should be done carefully, respect the members of the group and don't spam the site. If you break the rules of the site not only will you be kicked off but you may be labeled a a spammer. The best place to get a structured keyword based text link in your post would be in your signature file. This technique will help get your site indexed quickly.

Remember, forums and blogs are a focused audience. As you become acquainted with the other members of the forum, blog, or social network you can get a plug occasionally. Don't blatantly promote, offer a suggestion or ask for an opinion.

Now for a little utilized traffic conversion strategy. The prevailing belief is that site traffic determines the conversion rate of a website. This statement is incorrect, the statement should read, the amount of traffic to your site has little to do with your conversion rate.

Lets do a little quick analysis on that statement, you've specialize by selling a very nice green bobble headed what knot. On one hand you have five hundred searching per month for "what knots", the main search engine has three million websites competing for those searchers and if you are fortunate enough to place well in the results, and get the clicks, you might convert a few, but most appear to want the flavor of the day "silver twitching tongue what knots". On the other hand, fifty people per month search for "green bobble headed what knots", the results reveal twenty-five sites competing for the phrase, with a little optimization you easily place atop the results for your main keyword phrase, "green bobble headed what knots".

Whom do you feel is worth more to your business? Five hundred visitors searching vague terms or fifty searching specifically for the item you offer. Whom do you believe is ready to make a purchase? Where do you focus?

In conclusion:

The key to any traffic plan is focus! You want those fifty visitors, credit card in hand who want what you have to offer. Don't misunderstand, you would certainly entertain the five hundred, might even convert a few, might not. It would not be in your best interest to focus your time and effort on those five hundred though would it.

You would be best served by devoting your efforts on the fifty people per month who desire your product. This is accomplished by focusing your ads, link building, and site design around those people. Use very descriptive text, and highly focused descriptive long tail keyword phrases. It will help you rank quickly and well in the search results. Make use of keyword specific signature text links in your social marketing posts. Your pay per click results will cost less in the major engines, your click through and conversion rate will be much higher.

4 REASONS WHEN CHOOSING AN AFFILIATE PROGRAM

Choosing the right affiliate program is vital for your success in making a successful career of affiliate marketing.

Time is precious and you do not want to invest too much of it on programs that are never going to pay off.

As I am sure you are aware, there are many internet scams out there - so you need to be careful before investing your time and effort in any one direction.

In this article, we're going to learn how to distinguish an excellent affiliate program from a rather mediocre one. Yes, indeed. Not all affiliate programs are built alike. Some are simply better than others.

I personally spent at least two years flitting from one program to another and even got involved with the occasional scam. I lacked guidance and lost $1000s trying everything possible to become successful.

I made a few dollars here and there so I knew it was possible to make money online. I just needed a break or someone to put me on the right path.

Here are some points that you need to consider when choosing your affiliate program:

1. How much is the commission rate being offered by the affiliate program? Obviously, you want as high a commission rate as possible. Who wouldn't, right? True, but there is no point gaining 70%-90% of the sale if the product is crap:-) - which leads me on to my next consideration.

2. How sellable is the product? If you are going to spend time and/or advertising money promoting a product then you must check to see if there are other people finding success selling this product.

A good place to start is Google. If you find advertisers on Google selling this product through Google adwords, then you can be sure there is a profit to be made.

You can also do a quick search of topical online discussion forums where you will find the unbiased reviews and testimonials of other entrepreneurs and internet marketers.

3. How credible is the affiliate program? Is there a big, well known Internet Marketers' name on the product? Do they have a track record of great products and satisfied customers.

You do not want to be known for recommending second rate products online.

Building a trustful reputation online is a massive part of becoming successful so it is extremely important that you only recommend products that yourself and others have found to be useful.

4. How and when will you get paid? There are various ways you can get paid your affiliate commissions. I prefer a straight bank transfer to my account. The most commons methods are by company check or via Paypal.

Paypal is an online payment system that will transfer any money you accumulate directly to your bank account. It is free to join but they will take a small charge for each transaction.

Some affiliate companies pay weekly or fortnightly but the vast majority pay once per month. I would not join a program that paid me less frequently than monthly.

Choosing your affiliate program is only a beginning but if you choosing wisely could make the difference between the success of failure of your affiliate marketing business

HOW TO FIND HOT NICHE MARKETS

Working out what your niche market will be to start your home business is something that can elicit much excitement. This is when you can put all those great ideas you have had for your business into a plan of action. Give yourself a number of options to work over. Some will be great and some won't fit. Get more than one so you always have a back up when you start a home business.

Look to 3 sources for ideas:

* A hobby you love: You won't find many hobbies from which you can't build a business. And since you enjoy doing it, it won't be tedious to "go to work" every day. When you pick something for your business that you sincerely like, you will have fun at doing it.

* Your experiences: In life we go though many experiences and you can use these to build a business. For example if you have raised children you can then put all your parenting experience together and start a business related to parenting.

* Your talents: Everyone has one or more talents within them. Dig down and see what yours are. You can start a freelance business using your talents.

Defining your niche market:

1. List out some ideas then put them in the order of what you like the best.

2. Go to the site listed here and put a key word into the overture suggestion tool box: This will bring up the amount of searches that have been done for your keyword and will represent demand.

3. If you search out that same key word on Google search engine http://google.com then you will see websites supplying that item and you will know how many competitors are out there that will be competing with you when you start a home business.

4. If you find a topic that is demanded in quantity but low in the suppliers, you will then make money. This should be your special market for which you do your niche marketing. You will make more money with a niche market as you will reduce and sometimes even eliminate competition. Go through your list of ideas until you narrow it down to about

5. Then go through them again and see which one will fit into a niche market.

Establishing your USP:

Once you have found the concept that fits into a specialized or niche market it is time to establish your USP, Unique, Selling, Point. This is when you will take your idea, and see how you will make your business uniquely different from your competitors. Often neglected, finding the USP is something that new business owners need to do to set their item above the competition. Online businesses are very competitive and you have to stay ahead of the game.

There are two reasons you need to set yourself up as different from others:

1. Get ahead of your competitors

2. To clearly define to your potential customers why your product and service is better than your competitors.

Deciding on your business model:

Part of your business concept will not only be consolidating your ideas but also choosing your business model. There are a few that you can choose from:

* Affiliate marketing-Getting involved with affiliate programs will target your efforts

* Network marketing (MLM)- again this will target your market and idea.

* Marketing-taking the product and selling it

* Service- you should use your talents, which includes freelancing.

You can see there are a number of things you will have to do to get your business concept into operation. But it's worth it to plan and take care in developing it. It will be your foundation, after all

WRITING YOUR MARKETING BLOG

What makes blogs so special? Why do the search engines seem to like them so much? The answer is content. A good marketing blog is updated all the time, quickly and easily. Content is king. We've heard that stated time and time again, but repetition does not make the statement invalid. Search engines love content, and good marketing blogs keep feeding them exactly what they crave. Who wouldn't get bored with the same old static pages? But as you write your blog, and if you write it well, you'll be able to impress both your clients and the search engines.

And now for the one qualifier. Content may be king, but content alone is like a figure-head king who talks a lot but doesn't get anything done. For the monarchy to be effective, you have t actually write good and appropriate content.

The first step to write a marketing blog is to set your goals and know why you blog. What this means is that you have to understand that a blog is not an open invitation to post sales material and self congratulatory tripe. The purpose of your blog should certainly be to inform, but it is also an opportunity to communicate with your clients. Search engines may like blogs because of constantly updated content, but customers have come to trust blogs because they feel like this is a chance to "get to know" the company - not subject themselves to more mindless sales material.

When you are writing content for your marketing blog you need to keep a few things in mind. First of all, a business blog, while not exactly creative writing, is not really technical writing either. Everyone has their own style and, depending on the subject matter of the blog, different styles are appropriate for different industries. But in general, a blog should be written in a more conversational tone. This will help you avoid the marketing-speak that can otherwise creep into a valid article.

Next, make sure that your grammar, punctuation, and spelling skills are regularly exercised. All you have to do is spend some time visiting forums or reading blog replies to know that most Internet users don't have the best grammar or vocabulary in the world. This does not, however, mean that you can allow your blog to slip down to the same level. You are being held to a higher standard as a content publisher than you would be as a normal visitor. And visitors will recognize poor grammar in others, even when they don't practice it themselves.

Now, what do you write about? Obviously a marketing blog is going to be heavy with articles about products or services. This is the perfect place to discuss your new endeavors, as long as you remember to keep it a discussion. People can get advertisements anywhere. They don't need them and, more importantly, they don't want them from your blog.

So now you've got some keyword-rich content. That's good for search engines. But have you got interesting content. Because that is good for actual visitors.

Studies have shown that the number one reason for reading a blog is the quality of the reading. Simple popularity isn't enough to attract and/or keep you readers coming back.

So what constitutes interesting content? That's a very subjective question and can be determined by the industry you're in or the audience you are targeting.

News items are a good choice, whether company news or industry news. Just make sure you're presenting something of value, not just a retelling of someone else's post. How does it relate to you? How does it relate to your customers.

"How To" articles are also a good idea. Let your clients know how to best use your product or service. Or you could even present new uses they may not have thought of.

Lists are popular additions in blogs. Whether it's 10 ways to use the product or seven weird things about your industry, they are a useful addition because they are easy for visitors to scan and enjoy and often attract linking or bookmarking.

There are countless other possibilities for a well maintained marketing blog, but it is equally important that you maintain a high level of writing quality if you want your blog to be a truly effective marketing tool.
